City of Sugar Hill and Explore Gwinnett announce the “2014 Wedding Sweetstakes,” in celebration of the city’s newest event venue, The Bowl @ Sugar Hill. The Sweetstakes offers a lucky couple a free wedding package at The Bowl and a spectacular 5-day, 4-night honeymoon package to one of two Cancun, Mexico resort destinations – the Laguna Suites Golf (lagunasuites.com) and the oceanfront Ocean Spa hotel (oceanhotelscancun.com).
“Engaged” couples are asked to fill out an entry form by August 31st and upload a 1-minute YouTube video explaining why they should win. Starting September 1st, videos will be added to the city’s Facebook page for voting. “The video with the most votes wins,” says Scott Andrews, Sugar Hill’s Communications, Events & Downtown Manager.

The venue, located on the grounds of Sugar Hill’s City Hall and town lawn, can accommodate outdoor weddings of all sizes up to 3,000 guests. The 1,300 sf amphitheater stage is a majestic showcase for the bride and groom, with a stunning water feature setting the stage.
“Our generous partners are crucial to making the promotion a success,” adds Andrews, noting local wedding professional Kristen Moon, Owner of Wedding One (weddingoneatlanta.com) and organizer of local wedding show, Bridal Ball, donated the lavish honeymoon for the winning couple. Explore Gwinnett will coordinate discounted hotel rooms and complimentary welcome bags for the winning couple’s out-of-town guests.
