North Gwinnett Wary for Game With Norcross
Also, Collins Hill hosts Peachtree Ridge in a big weekend for Suwanee football.

is riding a four-game winning streak going into Friday's game with Norcross, but Bulldogs Coach Bob Sphire is clear who he thinks is the favorite.
"We don't match up well with them at all," Sphire said Thursday as his team, ranked No. 6 in the latest statewide poll, prepared for unbeaten Norcross. Both teams are 2-0 in Region 7-AAAAA.
This game is one part of the biggest weekend so far for Suwanee teams this season. hosts (also tied for the Region 7-AAAAA lead) in another key matchup.

Sphire noted that running back Alvin Kamara is a challenge, making defense difficult.
"You can't empty the box against them, or he'll kill you," Sphire said. "They can spread you out."

Sphire also noted that versatile Donnie Miles is nursing an injured ankle. "We'll have to see" about Miles' ability Friday. "We can't not have him out there."
The coach also scoffed at the idea that the winner will have an inside track on the region title. "There's a lot of football to be played," Sphire said.
Speaking of which, Peachtree Ridge and Collins Hill will play a big game themselves. The Lions also have won four straight, and Collins Hill is 1-1 in the region.
Peachtree Ridge is led by QB Billy Best and RB Diandre Atwater. The Eagles are led by RB Jordan Parker; two of Collins Hill's losses have come to top 10 teams (M.L. King and North Gwinnett).
