Peachtree Ridge Hosts Duluth in Key Game

The Peachtree Ridge-Duluth clash takes on added meaning because of the controversial redistricting by Gwinnett schools that took effect this school year. Hundreds of students in the Peachtree Ridge Cluster were forced to attend schools in the Duluth Cluster because of overcrowding.

The Lions are ranked in the statewide AAAAA top 10 for the first time after their 41-11 rout of Norcross last week. The team is peaking after its sixth straight win.
"That's what you're trying to get accomplished," Peachtree Ridge coach Mark Fleetwood said of his team playing its best late in the season. "The early games are to build momentum.

The Lions are led by QB Billy Best, WR Joe Horn and RB Diandre Atwater.
In other Suwanee action Friday, North Gwinnett will try to hang onto the region lead when it hosts Mill Creek. Also, (2-2 in region play) will host Mountain View.
