Police: Two People Shot in Suwanee

Both shooting victims, who arrived separately at Gwinnett Medical Center, were reportedly suffering from life-threatening injuries.

SUWANEE, GA -- Two people suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting in Suwanee Monday afternoon.

Gwinnett County Police were called to 2090 Pendleton Pl., in unincorporated Suwanee, shortly before 2 p.m.

While officers were en route to the scene, they were told one gunshot victim had arrived at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville.

Officers arrived to find broken car window glass in the roadway in front of the home. They were told that several bullets hit a home in the neighborhood, but that no one inside was injured.

While another set of officers was at the medical center trying to get more information, a second victim arrived.

Both were suffering from what were described as life-threatening injuries, said Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Michele Pihera.

The victims' names are not being released until family is notified, she said.

Detectives were still on the scene and trying to determine what happened -- including investigating whether there are, in fact, two victims or if one person is a victim and the other a suspect.
