Six Suwanee non-profits were honored by Wells Fargo team members with $1,000 Days of Giving donations.

Wells Fargo also announced that its employees gave or pledged $1.8 million this fall in the United Way and Community Support campaign – 24 percent more than last year.

In all, 240 groups are receiving $1,000 checks in October at four community breakfasts across Atlanta. With the program in its sixth year, giving across Georgia will exceed $1.5 million this fall.

Said Wells Fargo East Atlanta President Carol Morris, “To some a $1,000 grant may seem small, but we know each of these great groups will be able to make a huge difference with this. And collectively this will have a major impact in our community.”

All the groups were selected by frontline team members in bank offices in the East Atlanta area for the work they are doing locally.

“We are doing our best to be a great local bank, and this is a cornerstone of our local giving and volunteerism,” said Jill Edwards, business banking manager.

These six Suwanee groups received $1,000 grants.
