SPCA Opens Thrift Store in Suwanee
Expanded animal shelter holds a ceremony for Sadie's Place.
On Thursday (May 26) the Georgia SPCA in Suwanee held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Sadie's Place. Named after one of the dogs at the SPCA, Sadie's Place is a thrift store that sells home items such as artwork, antiques, china, and more.
The thrift store was able to get its own space after the SPCA expanded at the beginning of the year. The expansion doubled the size of the SPCA to 6,000 square feet, including an exercise pen and quarantine rooms for new dogs and cats coming into the facility.
Employees like Fernando Guevara, the kennel director, and volunteers work hard to care for the animals at the shelter, with over 1,000 adoptions taking place last year.
