The City of Sugar Hill has officially announced the 2015 special event lineup. The concert series will include 8 concerts starting with the Rockin’ BBQ Blast in April, reaching a pinnacle in October with the City’s showcase event, Sugar Rush. The concerts will range in genre from country to pop, and from classic rock to rhythm and blues. Sugar Hill has kept the signature Sparks in the Park event and rebranded, and reinvigorated the Fall Festival as Sugar Rush.

The event lineup will feature; an ice rink, concerts, car shows, heritage festivals, one of the largest fireworks shows in the southeast, as well as niche options such a life-size mousetraps, and city wide wellness initiatives. As two major projects break ground on each side of City Hall in next few months, Sugar Hill is significantly increasing the emphasis on events from previous years. “The City is using our events, concerts and activities to promote quality of life and economic development in Sugar Hill. We tasked the staff to “go big or go home” and they did just that” stated Mayor Steve Edwards.

A heavy emphasis will be placed on the variety of events offered by the City. The official concerts acts will be announced very shortly, but residents will be thoroughly impressed with the big name talent and Vegas level quality of our performers. Councilmember Curtis Northrup added, “we will have the events that have always been popular with our citizens and new ones that will really wow you. We’ll have everything from student run concerts with local talent to artists whose names will be instantly familiar. There will be something for everyone. Downtown Sugar Hill is the place to be.” Sugar Hill is on the move, where residents and businesses can enjoy the sweet life.
