Suwanee Day, the city's annual mega-fest, is not far off, and that also means the annual Suwanee Day 5K and 10K Classic.
Registration is now open for the 2012 races, which will be on Saturday, Sept. 8. Fee is $25 for the 5K and $30 for the 10K. Also, there will be a non-competitive 25-mile bike ride and a 1K fun run (both $25), according to city officials.
The 5K starts at 8 a.m., with the 10K beginning at 9 a.m.

Participants are urged to register by Sept. 1 to assure a T-shirt of a desired size. Also, a $10 fee will be added after that date.
The 5K route winds through Old Town, while the 10K goes along the Suwanee Creek Greenway.
