Suwanee Teams Go 1-1 in Corky Kell Classic
North Gwinnett wins, Peachtree Ridge loses Saturday.

Suwanee high school football teams went .500 on Saturday (Aug. 25) in the Corky Kell Classic in Atlanta.
North Gwinnett got a last-second 16-14 victory over Colquitt County, but Peachtree Ridge was on the short end of a 42-0 score with Camden County, according to media reports.

For the Bulldogs, kicker Michael D'Angola kicked a 33-yard field goal as time expired, after quarterback Michael Haynes led the game winning drive. Haynes completed 13-of-20 passes for 125 yards with one interception and rushed 12 times for 51 yards.

North's only offensive touchdown came on a 77-yard run by Donnie Miles.
The Lions were no match for Camden and QB Bruce Ramsey, who threw three TD passes.
On Saturday, Sept. 1, North hosts AC Flora of South Carolina in the National High School Gridiron Challenge. On Friday, Aug. 31, Peachtree Ridge visits Parkview.
