
Julio Teheran, trying for a return to the Atlanta Braves, pitched eight shutout innings Thursday to lead the Gwinnett Braves over Toledo, 2-0, in Toledo, Ohio.
Teheran struck out 11 and allowed three hits as the G-Braves improved to 32-28. Teheran has pitched eight innings with the parent team this season. Ed Lucas was 2-for-5 for Gwinnett.
Pitcher Mike Minor, another G-Brave who is trying to play his way back to the parent club, will start Friday against Toledo at 7:05.
