The Visitor is a heart-warming, funny, magical story about two families who have let a tragedy tear them apart and whose children, as a result, have become unruly. It takes the wisdom and magic of a special visitor to bring them back together as they realize the value of love and friendship over possessions. Come experience the wonder of The Visitor with us!
This is the inaugural production of our Young Writers Series, a new program designed for playwrights, ages 10-15, allowing them to experience a "page-to-stage" working of their original or adapted script. Kaylie Larson, who wrote and is directing The Visitor, is being assisted by her mother Pip. Together they are both learning the art of making theater together.
We invite young playwrights to send in their work by December 31, 2014 to be considered for our 2015 Young Writers Series production. We will have a panel of teachers and writers read all entries, and choose which one gets produced. The entry fee is $25 and includes workshop and certificate of participation. Those who are not chosen are invited to work on the show that is chosen, learning tech, directing and other stagecraft on the job. A teacher will supervise. Parents are also invited to participate with their children on production.
