I have always managed to keep a positive attitude, curious about what could be around the next corner in my life. Often I wake up and wonder if this could be my lucky day. Why not today? Why not me? Everything can change at the drop of a dime…or a million dollar check, right? Well, most positive change has nothing to do with money; but, if that if a little extra green is what you dream of, there are ways to find it.
Parents
Moms and dads are busy by definition. There always seems to be a project waiting to be started or completed. If you are looking for money, your first project should be to unclutter the house. Yard sales, Craigslist or Ebay can turn stored items into cash. Outgrown clothes and certain household items can be donated to various charities (some, like NSpire and Hope House, will come right to your door), and you can write it off at tax time. That counts as money, too!
Those with Time and Transportation
There is an incredibly fun way to earn some money if you have a little time and flexibility in your schedule. There are tons of market research groups that are always looking for people to test products. They usually only take an hour or two, and you walk away with cold spendable cash. While a quick online search will spill out a lengthy list of companies to choose from, Jackson Associates is one that I like a lot. But, don’t just stick with one. Sign up for several to keep the opportunities coming.

Business Owners
One of the easiest ways to find money is to hire someone to find it for you. If you do it on a contingency basis, there is virtually no risk at all. Hire an accounts payable auditor like Broniec Associates to give your books a deep look. They are trained to find overpayments, sales and use tax errors, missed discounts, and more. Not everyone will get millions this way, but it happens.
Gamblers
Putting your hard earned money into a machine, on a game table, to a bookie or in the hands of a gas station attendant is my least favorite way to find money. That’s because for every dollar you find, you probably lost five or more. If you really love that high risk energy, become a business owner. Ha-ha! I am only half joking, as any business owner will tell you it takes a lot of guts to run a business; but, the profits can be big. If you are not ready for that kind of investment, become a treasure hunter. Find inexpensive treasures and see what happens when they are auctioned on Ebay.

Creative Folks
Anyone who falls into this category could most likely tell me some creative ways to find money. But, seriously, there is a lot of money floating around. You just have to think. Think about grants. Think about companies that pay for client referrals. Think about bartering with products or services.
