Auditions For New Play Happen Next Month

Auditions For The New Riveting Play Blue Butterfly-The Black Ballerina Will Be Held In Tucker

Tucker, GA--Residents in Tucker and surrounding communities are invited to audition for the theatrical play Blue Butterfly-The Black Ballerina.

The production is based on the award-winning book Blue Butterfly. It will feature a multi-cultural cast with an emphasis on ballet dancers with acting training. There are non-ballet roles that experienced actors can audition for.

“Blue Butterfly-The Black Ballerina” will open at the Marietta Performing Arts Center, June 17-19, 2016.

Play Adaptation: Shandra Lynn McDonald & Marian L. Thomas

Actors will receive pay for their performance.

Audition Time:

Auditions will take place on February 6th, from 10 am-5pm (walk-In’s are accepted, however, scheduled auditions will be seen first).

Callbacks:

Callbacks are scheduled for February 7th, from 11-2:00 pm (Actors are encouraged to be prepared to stay the entire time and wear comfortable clothing for a movement audition).

The Location:

The location is Mark Squared Studios, 1804 Montreal Court, Tucker, GA.

Male and female ballet dancers will need to have an 8-count dance (ballet) without music prepared, plus a one minute or less monologue.

Non-ballet actors will need to have prepared a one minute or less monologue.
