In a small North Carolina town, Della’s life is as sweet and satisfying as one of her famous confections. She runs a beloved bakery, believes in the Bible, and is thrilled to be baking a wedding cake for her late best friend’s daughter. But when that daughter, Jen, arrives with her fiancée—another woman—Della’s deeply held beliefs are suddenly put to the test.
As wedding plans collide with personal convictions, The Cake serves up a heartfelt and humorous exploration of love, faith, family, and the messy middle where they all meet. From the writer of This Is Us, Bekah Brunstetter’s touching play invites us to consider what happens when our ideals are challenged by the people we love most.

Integrated Arabic (Levantine/MSA) – Live Online June 8 – July 31 Evenings · 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM (via Zoom) A flexible, conversation-focused class that blends spoken Levantine Arabic with Modern Standard Arabic – perfect for real-life communication.
Learn Arabic that goes beyond the classroom – rooted in culture, connection, and community.
