In a small North Carolina town, Della’s life is as sweet and satisfying as one of her famous confections. She runs a beloved bakery, believes in the Bible, and is thrilled to be baking a wedding cake for her late best friend’s daughter. But when that daughter, Jen, arrives with her fiancée—another woman—Della’s deeply held beliefs are suddenly put to the test.
As wedding plans collide with personal convictions, The Cake serves up a heartfelt and humorous exploration of love, faith, family, and the messy middle where they all meet.
