
On August 28, we’re screening The Guest: Aleppo to Istanbul, a moving drama that follows 10-year-old Lena, her toddler sister, and their neighbor Meryem as they flee Syria for Turkey.
Through Lena’s longing to return home and Meryem’s hope of reaching Europe, the film offers a deeply human look at displacement, loss, and hope. Written and directed by Turkish filmmaker Andaç Haznedaroğlu, the film features real-life Syrian refugees in supporting roles.
