DeKalb Police Officer Shot, Airlifted to Hospital: Report

The incident occurred just before 4 p.m. There is no word on the officer's condition.

A DeKalb County police officer was shot just before 4 p.m., WSB-TV reports.

The officer is in critical condition after the shooting in the area of Lawrenceville Highway and Northlake Parkway, according to WSB.

He was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that one person has been taken into custody.

Police were searching the area for a second suspect, according to the AJC.
