Neighborhoods are the building blocks of the region. They shape its character. They affect the lives of its families and children. They are where βcommunityβ begins.
On September 24, 2011, The Civic League for Regional Atlanta will host its third annual Neighborhood Summit, a daylong event created to foster relationships among the residents of the 10-county Atlanta region by providing them with a forum to meet, exchange ideas and explore opportunities for collaboration.
During the day, Summit participants can attend workshops, enjoy exhibits, network with peer community leaders and elected officials.
This summit is for residents of the ten-county Atlanta region (Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry and Rockdale counties), especially those representing neighborhoods, community-based organizations, homeowners associations and civic groups, as well as business, nonprofit and public sectors.
Over 400 people attended last year and we plan for the same this year. Don't let your neighborhood and county be under-represented!
