This class is called specifically Core Strength Through Core Opening. Strength in the body requires flexiblity. There is no flexibility without the core being open to allow for full and complete breath during the poses.
This class will teach the Ujjayi Breath and how to use the breath for opening the core.
In yoga the only reason for the asana or poses is to open the body for a personal experience of Self in meditation.
This class is more challenging perhaps than the other classes of yoga at Harmony but don't let that discourage you from attending. A good challenging pose using the breath for opening is at the root of yoga's union with the body and spirit.
Keep in mind that yoga is a spiritual practice designed to connect the body, mind and spirit.
