Lakeside Alliance Reaches Out to Tucker Town Talk

LCA issued a statement on Monday regarding the TTT Facebook page.

The Lakeside Cityhood Alliance has posted the following statement on its Facebook page:Β

Since its inception, the Lakeside City Alliance (LCA) has been focused on reaching out to our community to help educate our neighbors about the ins and outs of cityhood. We have enjoyed getting to know our fellow area residents better and hearing and learning from the many groups with which we have met. We look forward to continuing our efforts and our outreach program.

For this reason, we would like to offer a correction to the Facebook site Tucker Town Talk. Although the conduct of some civic leaders, groups and individuals has been regrettable and discourteous at times, Tucker Town Talk was unfairly associated with this conduct in an earlier LCA post regarding the forced cancellation of a planned fundraiser brought about by the actions of others.

We recognize that Tucker Town Talk is an interactive site for posting events and information related to Tucker and that it does not engage in advocacy. We regret the mistake.

LCA will continue to hold itself to the highest standards of accountability and transparency and will continue to learn as our efforts continue towards the funding of a feasibility study of the formation of a city in the northern part of DeKalb County. We are grateful for the outpouring of support from all corners of our community to date and look forward to welcoming even more neighbors as our work continues.
