Masked Robbers Attack Man in Street

A man was beaten and robbed on Idlewood Road in Tucker.

Two armed robbers wearing masks attacked a man as he took an evening walk and demanded money from him, according to a police report.

Joshua Thang Tran, 18, told police two men wearing masks "ran up" to him and threatened him with a handgun, demanding cash. When Tran resisted, "the suspect then hit him below the left eye and in the back of the head with the gun," the report stated. The men took Tran's jacket and left the scene.

Tran said there were two other suspects in the area at the time of the robbery, which took place outside the Happy Food Mart at the corner of Idlewood Road and Cowan Road on April 6, shortly after 9 p.m.
