National Night Out Against Crime: Where Will You Be?
NNO sends a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
The community is invited to visit the Target* location in Tucker atΒ 4241 LaVista Road from 6 β 8 p.m.Β on Tuesday, Aug. 6Β to promote crime prevention initiatives during National Night Out.
The Fire Safety House will be on site so kids can practice crawling low under smoke and there will also be giveaways and demonstrations from Target and various DeKalb County departments. The police department will showcase βthe beast,β a mobile SWAT response unit outfitted with the latest crime-stopping technology.Β
βAmericaβs Night Out Against Crime,β is a grassroots effort to promote involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships, neighborhood camaraderie. Prevention programs include neighborhood watch groups, law enforcement agencies, state and regional crime prevention associations, businesses, civic groups, and individuals devoted to safer communities.
