Scott Holcomb Named 'Young Leader' by French-American Foundation
The Tucker representative joins a list of prominent names.

Representative Scott Holcomb (D-Atlanta) has been named a 2012 Young Leader by the French-American Foundation. He will be participating in the Foundationβs leadership conferences in 2012 and 2013.
"The conferences will cover a number of different topics, and they will also have cultural events," Holcomb told Tucker Patch. "I look forward to engaging in discussions concerning the most important issues our nations face, and I am especially pleased to have the opportunity to discuss the global economy and what we need to do to make things better."
Young Leaders are selected by committees in France and the United States through a highly competitive process, according to a press release. Prominent alumni of the program include former President Bill Clinton, current French President Jacques Hollande, World Bank President Robert Zoellick, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and General Wesley Clark.

Conferences are designed to foster an exchange of ideas and to deepen the political and cultural connections that cement U.S. and French political and business cooperation. Roundtable discussions cover issues in politics, economics, trade, media, social policy and world affairs, the press release stated.
Holcomb, who lives in the Tucker area where he serves, is up for re-election this year.
