Tucker Farmers' Market Starts Second Year

The market is back in its usual spot on Thursday afternoon.

On Thursday, April 4, 2013, the Tucker Farmers' Market will open for its second season. The market will continue to operate from its central location at 2333 Main Street in the Freemasons Square and Bank of America parking lot. The market will run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. every Thursday until December 19.

Music from Cicada Rhythm

Tucker Farmers' Market is proud to announce the return of Cicada Rhythm to our market to kick off the 2013 season. Bring a chair, grab a snack and enjoy the amazing sounds of this original duo. Expect chilling harmonies, unbridled enthusiasm, some wholesome tunes and a sincere performance.

First Thursday Food Trucks

On the first Thursday of every market month, the Tucker Farmers' Market is bringing local food trucks to the party. We kick it off this week with Happy Belly, which incorporates local, organic foods whenever possible. They won’t be alone, though! Come to the market to discover other food truck delicacies!

Last year, with the help of word-of-mouth from both customers and vendors, the market grew from seven vendors during the first market to more than 35 vendors weekly. Only two months after the market began, it was named “Market to Watch” in Atlanta Magazine.

This season, the market will add a number of new features, including a picnic area for customers to linger and enjoy their purchases and the upbeat local music. Educational sessions, cooking demos, and children’s activities will provide enriched opportunities for the Tucker community to learn about eating fresh and local. A limited number of crafters will sell handmade products like jewelry, candles, and artwork.
