Tucker resident joins local branch of national mortgage firm

Mike Weber focuses on follow up, enjoys strong referral-based business
PrivatePlus Mortgage, a division of Private Bank of Buckhead & Decatur, has named Tucker resident Michael V. (Mike) Weber a Vice President and Mortgage Banker. He brings nearly 30 years’ experience in consultative sales and service to the organization.
“Mike’s referral-based business – from past clients and industry partners – is a testament to his expertise and finesse in helping people through the mortgage process in a way that suits them as individuals,” says Dan Smith, President of PrivatePlus. “He likes to say ‘follow up equates to business,’ and that’s a formula we have seen work well.”
Weber has more than 10 years of experience in the mortgage industry, having previously worked with Smith and some of his other PrivatePlus colleagues. Prior to that he had a successful consultative sales career of nearly 20 years, focused in the print communications business. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the College of Wooster.
“I ensure that my clients are informed and that we execute the mortgage process in as timely a manner as possible,” Weber says, “because I know their time is valuable. The greatest compliment I can get is when a client says the process has been straightforward.”
Away from work, he and his wife of 28 years live in Tucker and have “two wonderful children who are loving college.” Weber enjoys the out of doors, including hiking and biking, and also enjoys cooking and live music. He gives his time to the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
