Tucker Tigers Playing 2014 Corky Kell Football Classic

Moving up to Class AAAAAA in 2014, the Tigers will get their first taste of the largest classification competition on the big stage.

Some 5.5 million homes will have the opportunity to watch the TuckerΒ Tigers season opener in AugustΒ as the team accepted a bid to play inΒ the 23rd annual Metro PCS Corky Kell Classic to be televised live from theΒ Georgia Dome by Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS).

The Tigers, who finished last season inΒ the Class AAAAA state title game with a loss toΒ Creekside, get the prime time slotΒ ofΒ 8:30 p.m.Β in the Corky KellΒ onΒ Saturday, Aug. 23Β against Class AAAAAAΒ championship game winner Norcross.

Moving up to Class AAAAAA in 2014, the TigersΒ will get their first tasteΒ of the largest classification competition on the big stage at the GeorgiaΒ Dome with viewers from across 12 states watching on CSS. Tucker finishedΒ its two-year stay in Class AAAAA by playing its third stateΒ championship in six seasons and winningΒ the 2008 and 2011 Class AAAA titles.

One of five new teams playing the Corky Kell in 2014, Tucker joinsΒ Norcross, Carrollton, Valdosta and Mill Creek as new teams to play in theΒ Georgia Dome.Β 

Live broadcasts of the games also come via radio on 92.9 The Game (FM).
