4 Arrested in Shoplifting Ring Tied to Woodstock
Police say the suspects stole more than $19,000 in merchandise from True Religion at the Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- Four suspects have been arrested in connection to a multi-state shoplifting ring at outlet malls, including the Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta in Woodstock.
Police in Edinburgh, Indiana, on Thursday, Aug. 4 arrested Tennessee residents Juwan Shakur Williams, 23, Benjamin Amos, 20, Tara D. Moore, 23, and Daiyzha M. Glenn, 17, the Woodstock Police Department said Monday.
Each suspect has been tied to high-dollar thefts at outlet malls in at least five states, including Georgia.

Police say the thefts, resulting in the loss of merchandise collectively worth more than $100,000, kicked off in June of this year. True Religion at the Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta in Woodstock was targeted on June 27, and merchandise worth more than $19,000 was stolen, Woodstock police note.

Woodstock police investigators, working with counterparts with the Calhoun Police Department, were able to identify the suspect responsible for the thefts in their cities as well as similar crimes in surrounding jurisdictions and states.

The arrests, Woodstock police note, closes out more than 10 retail theft cases across five states.
However, the investigation remains active, and police believe others may be involved and the group could be responsible for more thefts.
“Our detectives are the best in the business," said Woodstock Police Chief Calvin Moss. "I hope that this sends a clear message to criminals not to conduct their business in Woodstock."
Woodstock investigators have secured arrest warrants on felony shoplifting charges for Williams and Amos, the agency added.
