Accident Kills Black Bear On Highway 92
The incident occurred Wednesday evening near Settlement Drive in southwest Cherokee County.
A black bear was fatally wounded when it was struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening along a Cherokee County thoroughfare.
Deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office responded to a vehicle accident involving a bear on Highway 92 near Settlement Drive in unincorporated Acworth.
Cherokee Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Lt. Jay Baker said the motorist was not injured in the crash, but the bear died at the scene.
