Accused Heroin Dealer Arrested In Cherokee County
Cherokee narcotics agents arrested the Acworth resident as she was returning from a trip to pick up heroin in East Atlanta.
CANTON, GA — A woman accused of distributing heroin out of a hotel room in Cherokee County has been arrested. Agents with the Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad on Wednesday arrested Sherri Lynn Pyron and charged her with possession of heroin with intent to distribute.
Agents made the arrest after investigating a tip of heroin distribution in the county, which included surveilling Pyron. After keeping tabs on the Acworth resident, CMANS agents took her into custody as she was returning from a trip to East Atlanta where she picked up about two grams of heroin, CMANS said Friday on its Facebook page.
Agents also believe Pyron had been distributing heroin from the Hamilton Inn hotel on Wade Green Road in Acworth, said CMANS Commander Phil Price.

This wasn't the only heroin-related arrest CMANS agents made within the last two weeks. On April 4, deputies with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office stumbled upon a suspicious vehicle parked in the driveway of a private residence in the Clayton Community. Inside the car were a man and woman who were both "passed out," CMANS noted.
Sheriff's deputies observed drug-related items in plain view of the car and in the laps of the two occupants, identified as Canton resident Victoria Camron Goss and Michael Grady Jones of Tucker.

The pair were detained and CMANS agents were notified. Those agents unearthed about 7 grams of heroin, which is three grams more than the required amount for a person to be charged with trafficking. They also found methamphetamine, marijuana, LSD, various prescription opioid pills, baggies, scales and cutting agents, CMANS added.
Goss was charged with possession of heroin, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance. For his part, Jones was charged with trafficking heroin, possession of Schedule I, Schedule II, Schedule III and Schedule IV controlled substance and possession of meth. They were both booked into the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center.
