Adopt-A-Senior Program Returns To Cherokee For The Holidays
The program hosted by Cherokee County Senior Services serves more than 250 seniors annually, many who also use the Meals-On-Wheel's program.
CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — Cherokee County Senior Services is preparing to launch its annual Adopt-A-Senior initiative ahead of the holiday season.
“Many of our senior clients live alone and do not have local support,” Cherokee County Senior Services Resource Coordinator De Gale said. “Each year, we reach out to the community to ask for assistance in gathering requested Christmas gifts for our senior clients.”
Requested gift items include bath towel sets, gift cards to local grocery stores, stamps, small boxes of chocolate and non-perishable items such as toiletries, chap stick, tissues and lotions.
