The event is set for 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 29. This “freestyle celebration” of food, music, arts and crafts was well received last year, Elm Street Cultural Arts Village said in its press release.

“This year promises to be just as much fun, if not more so,” the organization added.

Art on the Green provides an opportunity to experience the work of musicians, visual artists, craftsmen and some of the best culinary restaurants in the region. Visitors will also have an opportunity to view the plans for the update of the historic Reeves House, which is set to become a permanent space for art and artists in our community.

The event is free to the public and will be held on the Event Green, which sits along Market Street next to the Noonday Creek trail.

A preliminary roundup of participating artists include: Amanda Pilcher, Amber Harper, Finds and Binds (Harmony Reid), Freking Pottery (Don Freking), Highbeams (Adam Pendlington, Ian Pendlington, and Stephen Quinn), Jacqueline & Shirley Mogan, Jennifer DeSantis, Karen Snider, Debbie Tidwell, Ariel Rivera, Jennifer Harris, Bonnie Sadler Lindsay Archer, Jarvis Street, Blue Grass Sound Band, The Retreat, Porch Pickers, Meredith Law and Shreeps Music.

Vendor spots for the event are still available. If interested, visit http://www.elmstreetarts.org/submit-art/ for additional details.
