Bank Robbery Reported in Woodstock

BREAKING: the suspect produced a note demanding money at First Citizens Bank and fled the scene on a black mountain bike.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- Investigators with the Cherokee Sheriff's Office are looking for a man they say robbed a bank in the Towne Lake community.

The suspect approached a teller at First Citizens Bank at 3060 Eagle Drive around 4:35 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11 and produced a note demanding money.

The man did not brandish a weapon and it's unknown whether he had one at this time, the sheriff's office said in its be-on-the-lookout alert.

The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money, and fled the scene towards Bells Ferry Road on a black mountain bike with red accents and fat tires.

He is described as a white male in his mid to late 40's, and about 5'10'' tall with a medium build. He also had a brown mustache and beard with some strands of gray hair.

The suspect was captured on surveillance cameras wearing dark sunglasses, a black long-sleeved Adidas shirt, black pants and a black ball cap with white lettering.

Anyone with information about the incident or suspect is asked to call 911 or the sheriff's office's Criminal Investigation Division at 770-928-0239.
