Chattahoochee Gold Swimmer Scores 7 Medals in International Competition
The competition brought together 160 of the world's best athletes from more than 10 countries
It was 13-year-old Gia Pergolini's time to shine, as she competed for Team USA at the 2017 Can Am Para-swimming Championships in Windsor, Ontario.
Gia placed first in the (S13) 50, 100 and 200 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke and 50 Butterfly and earned 7 medals in total.
Overall, there were 17 records (14 American and 3 Pan American) broken by Team USA at the Windsor Aquatic Club.

Gia trains with the Chattahoochee Gold club team at the Mountain View Aquatic center in Marietta.
Chattahoochee Gold is one of the first teams in the nation to be awarded Level 4 status by USA Swimming.
