Cherokee Announces School-Level Teacher of the Year Winners
These Cherokee County School District teachers are in the running to be named county Teacher of the Year in the fall.

Staff Report
The Cherokee County School District has announced the school-level winners of its Teacher of the Year program that recognizes its most outstanding teachers.
The annual process begins with each school’s staff selecting its own Teacher of the Year. Applications from the school-level winners are evaluated by a panel of community leaders, who select the Cherokee County Teacher of the Year in the fall. The winner will be surprised in his or her classroom by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Frank Petruzielo in November. The county winner is entered as the school district’s nominee for Georgia Teacher of the Year award, which is announced in the spring.

The Cherokee County and school-level winners are honored at the annual Cherokee County Teacher of the Year Banquet in December, which is sponsored by Northside Hospital-Cherokee and Credit Union of Georgia. Honorees enjoy an elegant dinner and tributes, are congratulated by Petruzielo and the Cherokee County School Board and receive gifts provided by local businesses.
Congratulations to the 2014-15 Teachers of the Year:
