Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services Promotes 11
Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services promoted members including to the rank of sergeant, lieutenant, captain and battalion chief.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — Cherokee County firefighters were promoted on Jan. 8 during ceremonies held at the Cherokee County Fire Training Complex, located just south of Holly Springs.
After a brief welcome from Cherokee County Fire Chief, Tim Prather, eleven firefighters were asked to come forward to receive their promotion warrant.
- Cody Collett, Jacob Gunter, Michael Morgan, Greg Sullivan and Michael Thomas were promoted to the rank of sergeant.
- Three firefighters were promoted to the rank of lieutenant, including Sgt. Craig Henderson, Sgt. James Lussier and Sgt. Kenneth Williams.
- Promoted to the rank of captain were Lt. Nathan Baum and Lt. Jason Williams.
- Nate Sullivan was also appointed to the rank of battalion chief.
Numerous firefighters, chiefs and family members attended the event. Refreshments were held afterwards in honor of those receiving promotions.
