Cherokee Fire Honors County Commissioner Gordon

Scott Gordon, the outgoing District 4 county commissioner, was recognized for his support of public safety.

From Cherokee FD: Four years ago, Cherokee County Commissioner Scott Gordon began his first term serving Cherokee County. Earlier this year, Commissioner Gordon decided to not seek re-election to direct more of his time to his family. During his four year term, Commissioner Gordon has been a staunch supporter of Public Safety in Cherokee County.

Yesterday, Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services took the opportunity to recognize and thank Mr. Gordon for his commitment to serve his community and solid support for fire services. Cherokee County Fire Chief Tim Prather presented Commissioner Gordon with “a token of our appreciation” for his service at the Cherokee County Public Safety complex. “It has been a great pleasure working with Commissioner Gordon. He has supported us since his first day on the job and has always expressed a sincere interest to assist in providing the best fire service possible. It has been an honor to work with Commissioner Gordon and we appreciate his service and we wish him well on whatever the future has in store for him” says Chief Prather.
