Cherokee Sheriff's Office Hosts Active Shooter Class
If the thought of an active shooter scares you, it may be a good idea to know what to do.

WOODSTOCK, GA — Cherokee County sheriff officials are offering citizens the chance to learn how to react during an active shooter threat. The course is called Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events, or CRASE.
Sgt. Bill Thompson and Deputy Jeremy Herrin will teach the course, for which seating is limited. People will make it into the class on a first come, first served basis, according to the Facebook event.
Children are allowed to attend the event, "but parental guidance is strongly recommended," police said.
