Christmas Classic Takes the Stage

It's a Wonderful Life will be showing at the Woodstock Community Church Dec. 3-18.

A stage version of the 1946 Christmas Classic is the upcoming production for the Towne Lake Arts Center.

Directed by G. Lora Grooms the play will be showing from Dec. 3-18 at 7:30 p.m. at the Woodstock Community Church.

Chris Hotz plays a small town business man George Bailey, who is struggling against a greedy banker Mr. Potter, played by Eric Fritsch, to save his savings and loan business. Bailey suddenly began to act strange and started contemplating suicide on Christmas Eve.

Everyone in Bedford Falls, NY, noticed his odd behavior and started praying for his safety.  As God receives these prayers, he sends Bailey Angel Clarence played by Luke Livingston, and teaches him the true meaning of Christmas and that he does have a wonderful life.

The cast includes Hotz as George Bailey, Kellen Cox Jahn as Mary, Eric Fritsch as Mr. Potter, JoAnn Livingston as Aunt Tilly, Sophie Abbott as Zuzu Bailey and Livingston as Angel Clarence.
