Driver Charged After Crash Injures Woodstock Man
A Woodstock man suffered serious injuries after he was hit by car in Cherokee County, authorities say.
CANTON, GA — A Maryland man is facing charges after authorities say he hit a motorcyclist with his car after failing to yield Wednesday at Bells Ferry Road and Wooten Drive.
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office on Thursday said they arrested Luis Aroldo Perez-Morales, 25, of Baltimore, in connection with the serious injury crash that happened around 5:45 p.m.
Perez-Morales was driving a 2012 Toyota Camry when he tried to make a left turn onto Bells Ferry from Wooten, authorities said.

They accused him of failing to yield and crashing into the motorcyclist, a 23-year-old Woodstock man, who was heading north on Bells Ferry.
The motorcyclist was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with serious injuries and was in stable condition, authorities said.

Perez-Morales was later arrested on charges of failing to yield, driving under the influence and serious injury by vehicle, authorities said.
Cherokee County Jail records on Thursday showed Perez-Morales was granted a combined bond of $10,661; however, he is being held for the U.S. Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
