Driver Dies In Christmas Evening Crash In Woodstock
BREAKING: The two-vehicle accident was reported just after 8 p.m. on Arnold Mill Road near O'Hara Drive.

WOODSTOCK, GA — The Cherokee Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal, two-vehicle crash reported Christmas evening in Woodstock. Sheriff's deputies were dispatched around 8:07 p.m. Dec. 25 to the scene of the accident on Arnold Mill Road near O'Hara Drive, which is to the east of Mill Creek Road.
Deputies arrived to find a Jeep Liberty and Ford Escape collided head-on in the crash, said Cherokee Sheriff's Office spokesperson Sgt. Marianne Kelley. An initial investigation indicates the Escape, driven by 60-year-old Steven Williams of Woodstock, "crossed the center line" and struck the Jeep driven by Shayne Dawson, 53, also of Woodstock, Sgt. Kelley added.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The collision is under investigation by the agency's Traffic Enforcement Unit.
