Early Voting Expands To Libraries On Saturday

Residents can visit the Cherokee County elections office and 4 public libraries from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m Oct. 29 to cast their ballots.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- If you still have not had a chance to make the trip to downtown Canton to vote early, Saturday could be your first chance to cast a ballot closer to home.

Early voting in Cherokee County will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Cherokee County Elections and Voter Registration office at 400 East Main Street.

Along with visiting the elections office, residents can also visit the following libraries to cast ballots on Saturday:

  • Ball Ground Public Library at 435 Old Canton Road;
  • Hickory Flat Public Library at 2740 East Cherokee Drive, Canton;
  • Rose Creek Public Library at 4476 Towne Lake Parkway, Woodstock;
  • Woodstock Public Library at 7735 Main Street.

As of 3 p.m. Thursday, 5,680 people have visited the elections office this week to vote. Since early voting started on Oct. 17, 12,477 citizens have voted at the downtown Canton office.

Advance voting will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31 to Friday, Nov. 4 at the elections offices as well as the four public libraries.

Election Day polling will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, and citizens will cast ballots at their assigned precincts.
