Early Voting Starts Oct. 16 In Cherokee County

Early voting will soon get underway in Cherokee County, providing residents with a way to cast their ballots ahead of time to avoid potentially long lines on election day. Early voting will be held Oct. 16 through Nov. 3 throughout the county for the Nov. 7 elections.

The cities of Canton and Woodstock each have contested races on the ballot. Cherokee County will be asking all voters to consider renewing its Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax, which is slated to fund various county and city public safety, transportation, public works and parks and recreation projects.

Here's a breakdown of early voting dates and times:

8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 16-20:

• Cherokee County Elections & Registration Office, 400 East Main Street, Canton

8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 23-27:

• Cherokee County Elections & Registration Office, 400 East Main Street, Canton

8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 30 through Nov. 3:

• Cherokee County Elections & Registration Office, 400 East Main Street, Canton
• Woodstock Public Library, 7735 Main Street, Woodstock
