Elm Street's Art On The Green Returns Aug. 19

WOODSTOCK, GA -- Residents in and around downtown Woodstock are encouraged to mark their calendars for Elm Street Cultural Arts Village's fourth annual Art on the Green event. This event will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19 at the Elm Street Event Green.

This celebration of all things art includes roughly 30 art vendors selling everything from photography to
jewelry to ceramics, food trucks and beverages, a Kid Zone and live music. You can also expect chef demonstrations and two free painting lessons. Local artist Deborah Tidwell will conduct a free painting workshop for teens and adults age 16 and older. Another workshop will be held geared towards parents and children.

Actors and podcasters Zach Roe and Ethan Everett will serve as live emcees for the day.

“These two are hilarious together,” said Jillian Melko, Elm Street's community engagement coordinator. "They have a great rapport and will really make the day fun for everyone.”

Art on the Green is free to the public, and coincides with the Woodstock Farm. Fresh. Market that runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. along Market Street.

Elm Street Executive Director Christopher Brazelton said the organization is "thrilled" to bring the event to Woodstock for 2017. He also said Elm Street is fortunate to have the partnership with its sponsors and the support of Elm Street Visionaries.

“It truly is a community event and a great way to celebrate the summer," he added.
