Erik has been training in the martial arts since 1974 and holds black belts in Taekwondo, Judo, Jiu-jitsu and is a full instructor in Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do, Filipino Kali/Escrima and is ranked level 3 in the Majapayat Martial Arts. Erik was a professional fighter in Japan ...for 10 years and is the only American to become World Champion in the sport and fighting style of Shooto twice..
He currently runs the CSW Training Center in Fullerton, California where he trains MMA fighters such as Josh Barnett, Ken Shamrock, Renato Sobral, Cub Swanson, Ben Jones and Ginelle Marquez. He is closely affiliated with Sean Sherk and Brock Lesnar of the Minnesota Martial Arts Academy.
