Free Flu Shots: Cherokee Joins Other Counties In Free Vaccination

There's still time to get the vaccination. While it's not perfect, it lowers the chance of getting the flu.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — Counties around north Georgia are offering free flu shots. If you haven't gotten one yet, there's still time.

The country has experienced higher-than-average flu prominence throughout the country, with only Hawaii and Oregon escaping widespread flu activity.

WSB reported that Cherokee, Fannin, Gilmer, Murray, Pickens and Whitfield Counties are offering free flu shots. If you have insurance coverage, it will be paid for. If you're uninsured, there is no charge.
