Justice 4 EJ is collecting donations to help with funeral expenses, possible legal expenses, the reward fund and a charitable cause Enrique “EJ” Delos Reyes, Jr., was passionate about, according to the fund’s website.

According to Woodstock police, two suspects allegedly followed a witness into the store and tried to hold up the business. Reyes was shot once and was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital where he died from his injuries.
His funeral was held Friday, May 29 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, according to his obituary.
“He was the type of person that did not ever meet a stranger young or old,” his obituary states. “He was funny, compassionate and made a difference in people’s lives. He enjoyed his dog Quazi, fishing with his dad, traveling, Asian food, cooking and video games. He was a loving son and a great friend.”
The suspects are described as black men of average height. One suspect also has a thick build. They allegedly left the store in a grey, four-door BMW that had a dealer’s drive-out tag.
Woodstock police spokesperson Brittany Duncan previously told Patch a similar armed robbery occurred May 19 at a Smoke 911 location in Kennesaw, and the vehicle spotted at that store matches the one described in Woodstock.
Additionally, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports armed robberies reported in Suwanee, Austell, Hiram and Newnan are possibly linked to Woodstock’s fatal incident.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS or 404-577-8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
