Holiday Lights of Hope Bring Christmas Joy To Hobgood Park

The annual event hosted by the Anna Crawford Children's Center is just a few weeks away.

Those who are anxiously awaiting Anna Crawford Children’s Center’s annual Holiday Lights of Hope have just a few more weeks before the elaborate decorations return to Hobgood Park.

This year’s Holiday Lights of Hope will run Dec. 11-21 at the park, located at 6688 Bells Ferry Road in Towne Lake.

Gates for this Christmas celebration will open each night at 6 p.m. The festivities include, of course, holiday lights, children’s activity area, an appearance by Santa Claus, light maze, music and seasonal vendors and concessions.

Admission for teens and adults aged 15 and older is $10 and includes all activities. Children aged 14 and under are free.

In 2013, the event featured one million LED lights and drew 12,000 attendees, according to its website. This year, the large walk-through lighted area plans to have over one million LED lights, a 30-foot tall Christmas light tree, a 17-foot tall reindeer and a 15-foot tall snowman family.
