Lantern Concert Series Starts June 2 In Woodstock

WOODSTOCK, GA — Elm Street Cultural Arts Village will introduce new ideas and cultures to downtown Woodstock through a new concert series.

The Lantern Concert Series will "strive to introduce new music, ideas, and cultures that aren’t typical for the community," Elm Street Arts said in its press release.

Kicking off this new series is The Barefoot Movement, an Americana group that will take the stage June 2 at the Elm Street Event Greet. The inaugural concert will be followed by appearances from Royal Wood, Break of Reality, Sam Reider & the Human Hands, Landscape of Guitar, Huntertones and Marc Broussard.

The Lantern series will offer tables in lieu of traditional seating to encourage conversation amongst attendees. Organizers hope this venture will help build deeper and "more authentic moments that involve every aspect of the community and everyone who is a part of it," Elm Street added.

• June 2 – The Barefoot Movement
• July 21 – Royal Wood
• Aug. 4 – Marc Broussard
• Sept. 15 – Sam Reider & The Human Hands
• Oct. 6 – Landscape of Guitar
• April 13, 2019 – Break of Reality
• May 18, 2019 – Huntertones
• June 2019 – To be determined
