Leadership Cherokee Class Of 2022 Announced By Chamber

The 2022 Leadership Cherokee class was chosen following participation in a nomination, application and interview process.

CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA — The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce has selected the Leadership Cherokee class of 2022. This 33rd anniversary class was chosen following participation in a nomination, application, and interview process.

Members of the Leadership Cherokee class of 2022 include: Jennifer Reynolds, Cherokee County School District; Ashley Witcher, UGA Extension-Cherokee County; Lauren Voss, Cherokee Recreation & Parks; Marcie Smith, The Children's Haven, Inc.; Donna Sanders, City of Holly Springs; Melissa Grubbs, Universal Alloy Corporation; Ashton Banks, The Jason T. Dickerson Family Foundation; Tori O'Bryant, Northside Primary Care Associates; Geri Lanning, J Thompson Ross Investments; Ryan Sarks, Cherokee County Water & Sewerage Authority; Mindy Nobis, City of Woodstock; Brooke Schmidt, City of Canton; Amanda Sutter, Cherokee Office of Economic Development; Emily Mack, Northside Hospital Cherokee; Susan Treadaway, Cherokee County District Attorney’s Office; Charlie Lanz, Calco Engineering, LLC; Mark Hand, City of Woodstock; Shawn Schumacher, Cherokee Recreation & Parks; Rajpaul Sagoo, MDD Holdings; Chris Luly, City of Ball Ground; Chris Saxon, Cherokee County School District; Jud Waites, Waites Law Firm.

The 22 class members recently traveled to Brasstown Valley Resort for their retreat.

"The group participated in both indoor and outdoor team building exercises that enabled them to learn not only about each other, but themselves through a look at personality types and communication styles”, said Rob Logan, City Manager-Holly Springs, and the 2022 chair of Leadership Cherokee.

Over the next nine months, the Leadership Cherokee Class will participate in a broad range of sessions that will focus on a variety of topics such as economic development, infrastructure, government, justice, education, recreation, tourism, public safety, healthcare, and social/human services.

According to 2022 Chamber Chairman Brian Stevens, CEO & Co-Owner of FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers, “The knowledge gained from the programs offered through Leadership Cherokee will prepare the class members for a more active role in the community.”
