Liquor Store Request Withdrawn in Woodstock
A plan to build a Costco store, 320-unit apartment complex and 32 single family homes was also put on hold.

WOODSTOCK, GA -- Plans to build a package store on the north side of Ridgewalk Parkway have been called off.
That's according to Mayor Donnie Henriques, who made the announcement on Monday at the start of the Woodstock City Council meeting.
Council members unanimously voted to accept the withdrawal without prejudice of an application by SSPH Enterprises, LLC to rezone 7.38 acres of land from light industrial to general commercial.

The company sought the rezoning to accommodate its store and an adjacent retail parcel on property located on the west side of Olde Rope Mill Park Road north of RaceTrac.
Council members also tabled for an additional two weeks a proposal to build a Costco and multi-family development in the same area.

City Manager Jeff Moon told Patch the developer, Ridgewalk Holdings LLC, is still working on the site plan for the proposal.
Ridgewalk Holdings, LLC is seeking two conditional use permits to allow an 18-pump gas station to accompany a Costco and 320-unit apartment complex.
Along with the proposed 153,272 square-foot Costco -- complete with a liquor store and gas station -- and apartment complex, the development would also contain 32 single family homes, an additional 62,182 square-foot retail store, civic space and seven stormwater ponds and other undefined uses.
The City Council will take up the request at its May 23 meeting.
